This is Arcams top of the line integrated amp. It is the only 2-Channel integrated Amp that uses their Class G amplification. You'll find this technology is used in their top end receiver and separate amplifiers. As the engineers at Arcam say, this is proper engineering. Pair this amp with the proper speakers and you will have a very elegant sounding system that packs punch and dynamic range. The amp grips speakers perfectly so they don't have ugly decay or sloppy resonance. The bass is very detailed, tight and deep. The high frequencies are not fatiguing, granted that this is paired with the proper bookshelf or tower speakers. On top of that Arcam paired up with DIRAC Live and have given you the ability to have three separate calibrations based off of your lifestyle. Consider one for Hi-Fi, another for movies and the other for gaming. Or maybe you want three different calibrations for the types of music you listen to.
